Today Unmanned Aerial Vehicles can be flown tele-robotically and controlled from a distance by a pilot on the ground. Some UAVs can fly completely autonomously once launched. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles make a perfect surveillance tools in the modern net centric battle space. With many high-tech electronic sensors they can pick up the enemy via infrared on a pitch-black night.

There have been instances where UAVs have fired upon enemy targets using hellfire missiles and destroy the target. There have been situations where the ground control link was lost on a tele-robotically flown UAV and the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle returned its self to the airport and landed safely. The technology advances in unmanned robotic vehicles has come a long way in the last decade and this trend will continue.

What will the future of UAVs bring? Well, we are witnessing the miniaturization of UAVs as the sensors and electronics get smaller and more robust. Currently the United States military is using Micro Air Vehicles or MAVs that are the size of a small bird. Current technology trends predict that the top universities in the United States will perfect insect size MAVs. Meanwhile The Air Force Research Laboratory has put out a roadmap calling for unmanned fighter aircraft and attack aircraft in the near future. We can also expect cargo aircraft UAVs.

With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence it appears that the fighter pilot's days are numbered and soon human pilots will no longer rule the skies. You can also expect transfer technologies to be handed down into many commercial applications. I hope you will enjoy this book and discussion of all these topics and more, as we look at the future of UAVs for both the military and private sector.

I appreciate your minds bandwidth on this topic, as UAVs are not only here to stay, but will be a big part of future aviation history. And you need to be thinking here. Perhaps this article is of interest to propel thought in 2007?

Lance Winslow - Online Think Tank forum board. This is why I have written this book on Boat Cleaning and Detailing. You see, Boat Cleaning and Detailing can be a lucrative business, but only if it is done correctly.

In this article I want you to think about and discuss how to set up your own Boat Cleaning and Detailing Business, as well as how to market and grow the business. Additionally once you get all the work at the local marinas then you will need to know how to care for your customers boats correctly. You should indeed discuss techniques on how to detail and clean many different types of boats and surfaces.

Boat Cleaning and Detailing is a specialty type service and it requires a little bit more than setting up a simple auto detailing business. Perhaps you already own an auto detailing business and you simply wish to expand into the marine sector. If so you will find the tips in my articles and the marketing strategies exactly what you need. You may also find that many of the skills that you already have are easily transferable.

Although this is my set of articles on this subject I have written nearly a 500 pages of manual for my Franchising Company and our franchised outlets; The Detail Guys (www.DetailGuys.com ). These natural motions vessels used the propulsion techniques of Tuna Fish, Dolphins and Sharks with names like RoboTuna, RoboFish and RoboShark. Research scientists at many Universities have re-discovered the benefits of 800 million plus years of evolution and efficiency in the water from these sea creatures. Along with new discoveries in polymer muscles, material memory and fluid dynamic vortexes and eddies, scientists have come closer to mimicking the incredible efficiencies of motion and use of energy that sea life has enjoyed.

In 2006 we will see new uses and methods of blowing air bubble flows in the intended path of the submarine to increase speeds when needed. We will see new innovative dual hull designs using pressure sensors which allow the hull to move with the flow of the water changing as needed while taking into consideration relative ocean flows and speed of the vessel. In 2006 we are bound to see several new coatings to streamline and fully utilize boundary layers of fluidity, although some will not be privy to the public domain for years to come. We will see new submarines and AUVs, which are quieter and silent running due to innovative new shapes giving little or no sound or fluid disturbances. Indeed we will see additional new propulsion systems without the need for propellers. Think on all this in 2006.

Lance Winslow - Online Think Tank forum board. It is often the case that buying a boat is a lifetime achievement and something that you and your family are certain to enjoy on every possible occasion. There is something about a boat that makes it a particularly wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion with that someone special. When all is said and done, owning a boat is just great.

However, in order to keep the boat in tip top condition you have to provide the proper maintenance. This is where the use of a boat cover becomes invaluable.

The main purpose of a boat cover is to protect your boat from the vagaries of the weather and dust accumulation. When left unattended and uncovered, a boat will succumb to corrosion and wear and tear caused by rain, wind and dust. You will be surprised to know that the use of a boat cover can prolong the longevity of a boat by up to 50 percent, as compared to a boat which remains uncovered.

What Type of Boat Cover is the Best for Your Boat?

There are many, many types of boat cover on the market. Which type of boat cover suits your boat the best will depend upon what type of boat you have, how long it will be left unattended for, and what type of weather your boat will be exposed to. By far the best type of boat cover would be one which allows you to cover it completely; hence it would need to have cuts that allow it to accommodate the mast, rails, etcetera. This is why many people prefer customized boat covers. They take care of each and every appliance on the boat, giving a snug fitting.

Of the many fabrics that are popular for making boat covers, the best ones come in waver polyester alternated with non-waver polyester. Canvas is also very popular for this purpose. The more rugged and strong the boat cover the better. People who leave their boat unattended for a long time would need thicker and more rugged covers than those who just leave them over the weekend, or for similar periods of time.

The boat cover you use must be totally waterproof. Today, there is hi-tech material which allows the moisture that accumulates on the boat to evaporate (and hence keep the boat dry all the time). Some covers will also protect your boat from ultraviolet rays, thereby keeping the color of the boat fresh for a longer period of time.

Before you make your decision on the boat cover which would best suit your boat, be sure to check out all the available material and the associate cost. Select the cover that will give you the best value for money taking into consideration the fit, the protection it can give and its cost. Your investment in a boat cover will serve to protect your larger investment - your boat, so choose wisely.

You can find a lot more free information concerning boat covers at our website.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=DavidEverett
http://EzineArticles.com/?You-Need-a-Boat-Cover-to-Protect-Your-Investment&id=262801

2006 BVI Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival

2006 BVI Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival
By Alex Padilla

Presented by Nanny Cay, the BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing festival is an expanded seven-day format that takes avid and novice participants on an exciting multi-class, multi-course event throughout the beautiful British Virgin Islands.

This year the boats were split into fifteen classes and ranged in size from the 75' Reichel Pugh, Titan XII, supporting a crew of twenty, to the one man Lasers and windsurfers.

Since its inception in 1973, the BVIs Spring Regatta has witnessed tremendous growth in both size and competition with continuing support from racing enthusiasts around the globe. This past weekend 154 boats helped mark the 35th anniversary of the BVI Spring Regatta as the event's biggest year ever!

The 2006 Sailing Festival which serves as a three-day warm up for the regatta - kicked off on Monday, March 27 with a welcome party at Nanny Cay. Afterwards participants were able to experience three days of destination cruising, racing, diving and Lay day fun including the Nation's Challenge Cup, all which led up to the main three-day Spring Regatta that started on Friday, March 31. The four racecourses of the BVI Spring Regatta were held on the south side of Tortola - the sailing stronghold of the Caribbean - and the backbone of the protected Sir Frances Drake Channel.

This year the boats were split into fifteen classes and ranged in size from the 75' Reichel Pugh, Titan XII, supporting a crew of twenty, to the one man Lasers and windsurfers.

The Racing and Racer/Cruiser classes sailed in the Copper Island course area with back-to-back racing on windward-leeward courses. The multi-start, multi-race format first introduced by the BVI Spring Regatta ensures that time on the water is spent racing.

Performance/Cruiser, Multihull, Bareboat, Jib & Main classes sailed on the Norman Island course area. Such is the geological/topographical nature of the BVI, that many of the marks from the previous regattas have been replaced by islands. On this race area - previously known as the non-spinnaker course spinnakers were permitted and let those sailors that didn't want to race back to back, windward-leeward courses, the chance to fly a spinnaker, perhaps with a less practiced or short-handed crew.

Each day of the regatta the weather conditions improved and finally on Sunday, sailors (and photographers) were able to enjoy a picture perfect day with wonderful sunshine and 10-12 knots of breeze.

For additional information, please visit ==>http://www.catamarans.com

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=AlexPadilla
http://EzineArticles.com/?2006-BVI-Spring-Regatta-and-Sailing-Festival&id=173173

Choosing the Right Travel Package

Choosing the Right Travel Package
By Anand Srinivasan

With international airfares falling with increasing competition, numerous travel agencies have sprung up to help you make your international visit easy and comfortable. But now there is a problem of plenty. Here are a few things you need to consider when choosing the travel package of your choice.

COST

Naturally this is the first thing to look out for. Prepare the budget you are ready to shell out. But remember that if you are too particular about the upper limit for your travel, you choose that package that falls well inside your budget. Most often, no matter how deeply you look into the costs involved, there are always instances when you feel there was a hidden cost involved which younever knew until you made the payment. Also, you might end up making more than the planned purchasing. So, this is one factor, you must carefully plan and decide.

COMFORT and PRIVACY

For economy budget travellers, travel agencies usually help make costs low by taking the tourists in groups so that the cumulative costs involved help in making the cost per tourist less. But, too many co-travellers might end up ruining your comfort and privacy levels. It is best to know in advance the number of tourists who accompany you. Some travel agencies make good planning to split this group into smaller groups when you walk out in the destination. The best way to know about such organizing is through reviews about the package that you can find on the internet blogs and forums.

FLEXIBILITY

Choose a package that offers you more flexibility in deciding your period of stay in individual locations. Each of your co-travellers have different tastes and it is simply not enough if everyone is offered the same periods of stay at individual locations. So, look for travel packages that offer you the freedom to choose to lengthen or shorten your stay at individual spots. This kind of flexibility might shoot up the costs a bit, but nevertheless makes your travel a much more relishing experience.MANAGEMENTFinally, choose from reviews the kind of travel agancy that takes on the leadership during the stay. The least thing you would want to do is keep finding your way in a foreign place, while the travel is simply doing only what he is paid for - ferrying you to and from the place.

Anand Srinivasan is the author of http://XooXonline.info a website of varied themes and topics for the internet surfer who wants to surf but does not know what to!

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=AnandSrinivasan
http://EzineArticles.com/?Choosing-the-Right-Travel-Package&id=171278

2 Great Ways to Discover Florida

2 Great Ways to Discover Florida
By Tim Burton

Ways to Discover Florida

For fun and adventure and culture, yes culture! Laphroaig is one of the oldest distilleries on Islay and this story shows that, despite whisky distilling is often romanticized, it was also a dangerous occupation.

After the Rebellion of 1745, which was actually a civil war, the clearances started and in that period three Johnston Brothers came to Islay. Their purpose was farming and they occupied different parts of Islay. Two of their sons, Donald and Alexander, started their own farms at Laphroaig around 1810 and started distilling soon afterwards. When Alexander died in 1836 Donald became the sole owner of Laphroaig. At that time the Campbells, who owned Donalds land, leased a plot to James and Andrew Gairdner who built a rival distillery next to Laphroaig. They installed two experienced Clackmann distillers, James and Andrew Stein, to take charge. Donald Johnston, owner of Laphroaig at the time, was deeply disturbed finding out that the new, Ardenistiel distillery, proposed to use the same watersource. Water that made a vital contribution to Laphroaig's unique character. Specially when Donald was about to expand his business leaving him with a too small water supply.

Donald appealed to the judiciary the probems he had with the sharing of the water supply and the fact that the expansion of his business wasnt possible without a proper watersupply

The dispute lasted almost 6 years and ended abruptly when Andrew Stein fell ill with fever and died soon afterwards. His brother James, who couldnt cope distilling alone, stopped and moved to Port Ellen. In June the following year Donald himself died in a tragic accident at the Laphroaig distillery. It was a hard life in those times....

The Ardenistiel Distillery was also known as Kildalton (1849-52) and Islay (1852). This distillery was taken over by Laphroaig in 1853.

Laphroaig became a successful whisky distillery and the neighbouring Lagavulin distillery built identical stills to try and get the same taste as Laphroaig. The Lagavulin distillery however got its water from the other side of the hill which was the reason for the different character of Lagavulin whisky and not succeeding to copy Laphroaig. It is also said that the location of the maturation houses from Laphroaig, being so close to the sea, make a difference in the taste.

I am a regular visitor of Scotland and the Isle of Islay in particular. Islay has a rich and interesing history and I publish information about Scotland and Islay on my three websites:
http://www.scotlandview.co.uk
http://www.islayinfo.com
http://blog.islayinfo.com

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=RonSteenvoorden
http://EzineArticles.com/?The-Laphroaig-and-Lagavulin-Water-Dispute-on-the-Isle-of-Islay&id=301252

14 Lanzarote Beaches San Bartholme

14 Lanzarote Beaches - San Bartholme
By John Plumb

San Bartholme is the most central of the islands seven municipalities separating the two contrasting landscapes of the north and south of the island. There are relatively few beaches in this area, although we did have visited three on our many trips to the area.

The first beach is known as Guacimeta. This 1,050m stretch of beach of toasted sand and calm waters is quite exceptional as beaches go, except that its a bit too close to the airport for my liking. Parking was good and it can be accessed via guaguas (autobus). There are Shops, Bar/Restaurants, Public telephones and a pleasant promenade so its nevertheless a beach worth a visit.

The second beach is in a semi-developed area beside the airport and the Guacimeta beach and is known as Playa Honda. At 1,900m.long and 85m wide it is the biggest in this area and consists of medium grained golden sand and calm waters making it ideals for families and creating good conditions for windsurfing. It is about 5 minutes drive from the airport, so the noise from aircrafts will not spoil your fun and its easy to park.

We call it our Last Day beach !

Do you have to be out of your accommodation early ?
Are you on a late afternoon or evening flight ?
Are you to do something with the children without them getting too worked up on the last day ?
Are you stressed at the thought of spending hours at the airport before you fly home ?

Then, trust me when I say, this beach and Playa Honda generally is a great place to visit en-route home.

Here are my views of it :

* The Beach is fantastic ;
* The whole area of Playa Honda is not directly aimed at us tourists, so you leave Lanzarote  having experienced the canarian side of it  ;
* There are a great selection of restaurants along the beach front serving traditional Spanish Tapas and the Spanish Omelette in to die for. There is other quality canarian food available as well as things for the children (if they the fussy type) ; and
* It has a range of other shops on hand to keep you well occupied (duty free goods, gifts etc).

Finally, we have La Concha, 250m Long and 10m wide, Fine golden sand, and calm waters.La Concha beach is next to the development of the same name just on the outskirts of the capaital, Arrecife. Good parking again and accessible via guaguas (autobus) and a small promenade of shops and bar/restaurants.

John Plumb, frequent visitor to Lanzarote, a place that is now my 'home from home' having taken the plunge into villa ownership on the island - See http://www.villa-rochelle.co.uk

John is also the administrator of the Lanzarote Villa Owners Club @ http://www.lanzvillaowners.com

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=JohnPlumb
http://EzineArticles.com/?14-Lanzarote-Beaches----San-Bartholme&id=222569

You Really Need to Visit Maui

You Really Need to Visit Maui
By Dave Huffman

Seen from above, the two shield volcanoes that make up the island of Maui look like the head and torso of the well-loved demigod for whom the island is named.

Maui was a tricky fellow who is said to have stolen fire from its supernatural keepers, gifting to the mortals. He also captured the sun with a rope woven from his wifes tresses and slowed its path so that we could enjoy more hours of daylight on his beautiful island.

Modern visitors to this most magical of islands still reap the fruits of his labors by making the most of sunny tropical weather, where the temperature rarely dips below 65 degrees and the lush vegetation and colorful animal life just add to the feeling that they've just arrived in paradise.

This second-largest of the Hawaiian Islands is host to Haleakala, the largest dormant volcano in the world, at 10,023 feet tall. The summit of Haleakala National Park provides awe-inspiring views of five of the eight major islands. Watching the sunrise on the summit of Haleakala is an experience that visitors carry with them the rest of their lives.

Wainapanapa State Park is another wondrous natural adventure. Discover the black sand beaches, sea arch and caves for yourself. Every year from mid-December through mid-May pods of humpback whales make their way back to the waters surrounding Maui. The Kai Kanani will take you out to Molokini Island as you marvel at the grace of these peaceful giants.

The Whale Discovery Center at the Maui Ocean Center helps visitors understand the humpbacks strange and beautiful life cycle as it takes them from the frigid waters of the Artic to the warm and soothing seas around Maui and back again each year.

The natural beauty of Maui will surround and envelope you as you explore its endless beaches. Swim the calmer waters of the west shore, including Maalaea and Kaanapali.

Or head up to North Maui Ho'okipa for some of the best surfing, boogie boarding and windsurfing in the world. If youre looking for a little privacy, try Oneloa Beach, the last undeveloped beach on Maui s leeward side.

During a daily sun shower, duck into the Hana Cultural Center, a traditional Hawaiian village showcasing hundreds of artifacts and books and thousands of historical photographs.

The Maui Arts and Cultural Center is a 12-acre visual arts center and the Tedeschi Vineyards in the Upcountry offers tours of a unique pineapple wine vineyard. Dont forget to try a sample!

Dining is another fabulous adventure in Maui. It won't take long before you run into the ever-popular plate lunch. Hawaii's version of fast food, a plate lunch is inexpensive and perfect to take to one of the island's breathtaking parks. Each shop's plate lunch is unique, so stop in at a few shops during your explorations.

For something a little more upscale, try the Tropica Restaurant and Bar at the Westin Maui or Vino Italian Tapas & Wine Bar in Kapalua. Mango Cafe Grill & Bar offers a fabulous buffet on Sundays that includes both traditional Hawaiian fare and mainland comfort foods.

Maui isn't just a visual and culinary delight, it's also a shopper's dream come true. Spend a few hours browsing for interesting island gifts at the Kapalua Shops, enjoy free Hawaiian entertainment while you shop at Queen Kaahumanu Center or do some power shopping in air-conditioned comfort at the Lahaina Cannery Mall.

Maui accommodations are just as diverse as its natural beauty and entertaining activities. Opt for an intimate and cost-conscious stay at one of the island's lovely bed-and-breakfasts, choose from an array of luxurious condominiums or find relaxation or lots of opportunities to play whatever your pleasure at one of Maui's golf resort hotels, spa resorts, beachfront hotels, family-friendly hotels or romantic accommodations perfect for honeymooners.

Another great option is to try a privately owned rental. There are a number of private owners who are willing to rent their home or condo. Many rental by owner websites are available to help you locate the perfect place to settle in for your stay in this little slice of heaven.

Like its mythological namesake, Maui Island is powerfully memorable and perfectly magical. Make it a part of your memories forever.

Dave Huffman is a travel writer and property manager for vacation rentals at the Lake of the Ozarks in Osage Beach, Missouri. This relatively quiet area is dominated by the internationally famous hotel and sports complex, known as Club La Santa, a winter training ground for international sports stars.

If you are into active sports or simply want to maintain your fitness regime whilst on holiday or if you want to pamper yourself whilst your partner does his own thing, then this is the place to go. Club La Santa offers just about everything you could want in terms of active sports and everything youd find in the very best gyms or fitness centres at home.

Another article Ive written 31 Lanzarote Sports Club La Santa provides detailed information that might help you decide whether this is the place to stay, so I will only briefly cover it in this article.Activities include Tennis (10 courts), Squash (5 Courts), Badminton (6 Courts), Beach Volleyball (2 courts), Indoor & Outdoor Basketball courts, Golf (Mini Golf and short game training), 5-a-side football, Full sized Football, Aerobics, Leisure Pool, Olympic size Swimming Pool, Childrens Swimming Pool, Boxing, Weight Lifting and a fully equipped fitness centre with 6 Rowing Machines.

There are lots of beach/water sports on a beach measuring 910m long and consisting of fine white sand.

If you are an experienced diver and want to go on a snorkel safari, an intermediate or simply a beginner keen to learn then checkout the diving centre programme (by the leisure pool) as it caters for all three levels. Equally, if you are into surfing then youve come to surfers paradise as this areas has some of the best surfing waves in Europe.

If youre more into the pampering side of a sports centre at home, then why not consider the Hydrotherapy bath/ Jacuzzi, Cold Dip and Shower, Steam bath/ Saunas, Hydro-massage bath with essential oils, in private room (additional payment required), Hydro-jet massage, in private room (additional payment required), Manual treatments (additional/ seperate payment required), Physiotherapy, Massage (Sports-, Relax-, Lymphatic Drainage-, Shiatsu Massage and Foot Reflexology).

After a hectic day, there is a range of entertainment on hand from Karaoke to guest appearances from semi-professional artists. As youd expect, there is excellent parking on site, although it can be accessed just as easily by guaguas (autobus) and most equipment can be hired on the day at the club.

Our second beach in this area is the neighbouring beach known as Tenaza (it is actually 2km. away from Tenaza itself), located in a rural area and measuring 90m long by 6m wide and consisting of sand mixed with fine grained black gravel. There is a parking available locally.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=JohnPlumb
http://EzineArticles.com/?13-Lanzarote-Beaches----Tinajo&id=222572

Photo I.D. The Fair was first held back in May 1822. How's that for some tradition? It first started as a Cattle Show and progressed to its current status as a 4-H agricultural educational fair and good old fashioned entertainment for the whole family. Local farmers compete to win the top prizes for their exhibited cattle and livestock.

If you like history and architecture you must not miss the Schifferstadt Architectural Museum in Frederick, MD. This is the oldest building in Frederick and a perfect example of the mid-18th Century German architecture (built in 1756).

Here is another attractions you might definitely want to include in your tour of Frederick, Maryland:

The fantastic Lilypons Water Gardens present one of the largest lilly ponds in the world. People from all over the world come to see this garden situated in historic Buckeystown, just outside south of Frederick. Founded in 1917, this is really the place to be if you'd like to rest your tired eyes with the gorgeous spectacle of all kinds of delicate lilies. Koi & Wine Festival, Ed Sander Memorial Bike Ride, and Family Festival at the Farm (in October) are just some of the events held at this unique tourist spot (http://www.lilypons.com/).

-----------------------------------------------------------

Ugur Akinci, Ph.D. is a Creative Copywriter, Editor, an experienced and award-winning Senior Technical Communicator specializing in fundraising packages, direct sales copy, web content, press releases, movie reviews and hi-tech documentation. With millions of visitors each year and a booming local economy, Orlando offers fantastic dining options for both locals and guests. Theme park resorts and many fine hotels offer great dining, International Drive is full of family friendly dining, and many celebrated chefs have opened upscale eateries in this magic city.

The most important meal of the day just got better with Le Peep serving up its hardy menu of filling favorites. Located in the Universal Studios Resort, Le Peep is a local favorite with its popular skillet dishes and its home spun breakfast banana split consisting of bananas, strawberries, blueberries, strawberry yogurt and granola. Bakely's Restaurant & Bake Shop in Winter Park is also a great place to start your day with its extra thick French toast and a tall cup of Joe.

Speaking of coffee, Orlando offers up some great coffeehouses for those looking for that quintessential morning pick me up. Check out Austin Coffee and Film or Palmano's Espresso Bar both located in Winter Park. Downtown also serves up great beans at Downtown Media Art Center where coffee becomes the medium art form. Those staying near International Drive will want to stop at Bad Ass Coffee for a tall cup of this beanery's Kona, Hawaiian blends.

Sunday mornings in Orlando should be reserved for the gospel Sunday brunch at the House of Blues in Downtown Disney. This house sets a spiritual mood with its enormous displays of folk art, over 6,000 original paintings and 60 sculptures from rural southern African-American artists. Heavenly sounds from live gospel entertainment and the all you can eat brunch make Sundays at the House of Blues a must.

Midday hungers can be squelched with Bubbalou's special, a combo of spare ribs, pork and chicken served with a mound of side orders at Bubbalou's Bodacious Bar-B-Que in Winter Park. Downtown's Baja Burrito Kitchen features Cal-Mex cuisine and deluxe burritos, while Ming Court on International Drive is creating incredible Dim Sum dishes.

Those spending their days at the theme parks will have an ample amount of lunch choices. Try The Earl of Sandwich at Downtown Disney Marketplace for a hot sandwich with delicious bread baked to order and generous portions of sandwich fillings. Universal CityWalk Orlando eateries offer numerous options for those visiting Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. Stop by Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville for a cup of gumbo or the Hard Rock Cafe offers great salads and lunch entres.

Choosing where to dine in Orlando is just as difficult as deciding which dish to order once you're there. Luckily these are problems worth having and any choice you make is most likely going to satisfy your tastes. International Drive is full of options for families and couples looking for a night out. Cafe Tu Tu Tango is a great choice with roving musicians and artists creating art tableside. This world fusion restaurant has some tasty tapas to start your meal and amazing entres blending flavors and cultures.

Visitors of Universal CityWalk Orlando will yell a collective BAM if lucky enough to get into Emeril's Restaurant Orlando. The celebrity chef's Orlando eatery is wildly popular and for just reasons. Creative dishes and New Orleans cuisine are highlighted by the sophisticated atmosphere and attentive service making Emeril's Restaurant the essence of CityWalk dining.

Romantics are going to find Victoria & Albert's in Walt Disney World Resort's Grand Floridian hotel to be the perfect compliment to good company. Domed ceilings, marble columns and a plush interior combine style, sophistication and class. Chef Scott Hunnel's daily prix fixe menu offers unexpected flavors and dishes that are truly unique.

Late night diners will rejoice to find I-Drive's Bahama Breeze is open late and offers outdoor dining to boot. Steel drums and tiki torches keep the night alive as you feast on exotic island nosh. Wash it all down with a minty mojito or one of the many frozen specialty drinks available.

If you still have room you'll want to stop by The Dessert Lady Cafe where owner and head chef Patti Schmidt serves her incredible desserts featured in many posh Orlando restaurants. Good company, coffee from Palmano's and a dessert from The Dessert Lady Cafe could be the perfect ending to your culinary exploration of Orlando.

Robert Patterson is an Orlando expert and the Content Manager for BookIt.com - the Internet Travel Company Offering Discounted Orlando Hotels and Vacations with No Booking Fees, Ever! Spence

John and I have returned from twelve days in Namibia.

Having been to Africa a few times before, I didnt have the urge of many visitors to tick all the boxes, see the big five.whatever you want to call it. Call me a philistine, but once youve seen one reticulated giraffe youve seen them all. I was after a different type of trip.

If, like me, you want to experience a landscape that is totally unique and witness first-hand one of the worlds most hostile and dramatic environments, then Namibia is a must. It blew me away.

We started the trip in Windhoek. A fairly non-descript town, but a pleasant enough place to recover from the flight and an interesting insight into the horrors of modern, German-influenced architecture.

The next day we headed off. South. We were advised to drive over a special pass, which we duly did. As we came round the corner of the pass, there in front of us was the most astonishing desert vista. I leapt out the car, shot a roll of film and would have gone home happy there and then.

If Id known what was coming I wouldnt have even wound down the window.

Over the next four days we stayed in various places in the Southern part of the Namib desert. I shant list them. They all have their different merits and it depends on what you are after. For the record my clear favourite was the Wolwedans where we spent a night at the Lodge Camp and then another at the Dune Camp. Which youd prefer is really your call. Lodge Camp is plush, Dune Camp is authentic. The food in both is truly exceptional perhaps the best Ive ever had on safari.

The Wolwedans area is totally, totally stunning. I havent the vocabulary to describe the landscapes and anyway that is only half of the wonder of this place. The atmosphere and aura are awesome to behold and the changing colours of the dunes defy belief. You wont see much wildlife, but that which you do see, has a very special beauty and commands the greatest respect. Seeing a Gemsbok eek out an existence in the Namib desert is, for my money, more impressive than a Lion in the Masai Mara any day.

The other area we visited in the South and that is probably on most peoples Namibia Hit List is Soussusvlei. On the whole trip this was the only time I ever saw anyone else. Its Namibias number one tourist attraction and it shows but, even if that bothers you, they are worth the visit. The mystique of the desert is somewhat lost here but, they are the tallest sand dunes in the world and they are incredible. My advice, which will make more sense when you are there, is to drive straight past the famous dunes and into the less visited area called the Deadvlei (youll need a 4WD car). Get there as early as possible when the shadows are long. I guarantee astonishment.

Whilst in the south we squeezed in a couple of extras. One morning we ballooned over the dunes. If youre a balloon virgin this is a great place to lose your cherry. I was and I loved it despite a fear of heights.

I dont like horses, camels have bad breath and elephants are very uncomfortable to ride, so Quad biking has always been top of my list. The Namib desert is a very, very fragile environment so initially the eco-tourist in you may be a little uncomfortable at the thought of Quad biking. Two hours later youll be perched on top of a sand-dune watching the sun go down with a Vodka and Tonic in your hand and your ethics will be long forgotten. Trust me, this rocks. I defy anyone not to whoop with joy as they fly across the desert on these modern camels.

We then headed back north to Swakopmund on the coast. Initial reactions? What the hell are we doing here? It makes Windhoek look like Venice. However my opinions changed. If you follow one awesome desert landscape with another awesome desert landscape and then follow that with yet another awesome desert landscape, it is possible to become a little jaded and lose perspective. With hindsight, and in view of the mind-boggling four days we were about to embark on, Im glad we had this short time out.

Not least because it afforded us the time to practise a little shark fishing. You have two options; off the boat or off the beach. The logical minded might assume that the boat would equate to greater success and bigger fish. Not a bit of it. Choose the beach without doubt. Even if you have fished a hundred times or have never held a rod in your life I urge you to give it a whirl. This is totally unique and completely thrilling. Unfortunately, I cant say more since any description of the day on my part would, Im afraid, only deepen the wounds in Johns pride. Suffice to say that as a collective we had much success. The nice part was that they all get returned to the sea.

We then embarked on what was undoubtedly the highlight of the trip. The Schoeman fly-in safari of the Skeleton Coast. For the next three nights and four days I was subjected to the most relentless assault of stunning landscapes, thrilling experiences, fascinating knowledge, infectious enthusiasm and all-out-no-holds-barred-African-wilderness-drop-dead-gorgeous-mind-blowing-incredible time.

I like to think Ive travelled a bit. Ive driven a motorbike from Calcutta to London, lived in the jungles of Belize for six weeks, canoed rivers in Canada, played football in Japan, travelled the Karakorum Highway, lived on deserted islands in the Phillipines, camped in Lawrence of Arabias favourite desert the Wadi RumI could go on.

In Africa I have been fortunate to experience the A list of Safaris. Ive travelled with Robin Hurt and Ker & Downey. Ive been to Abus Camp in Botswana, ridden horses with PJ and Barney, seen leopard make a kill..again, I could go on. But nothing, and I mean nothing, touches the Schoeman Safari.

I dont want to attempt to describe it. Two reasons. Firstly, I cant. Secondly, the finest thing about the Schoeman trip is how brilliantly the brothers unravel the desert before your very eyes and ears. Each day springing new surprises and opening new doors for you. The Schoemans have lived here all their lives. It shows they are mad so would you be. But within that madness is an incredible fountain of knowledge and a passion to share it. I genuinely never knew that a place like the Skeleton Coast existed on this planet (Henk Schoeman the youngest of the brothers and our guide - is convinced that the recent pictures to emerge from Mars were taken here).

To have the Skelton Coast shown to me by one of the Schoemans and to view it in this style was the complete ultimate. This is the real McCoy. No contest.

It is hard work though. The planes and land rovers are old and uncomfortable. The pace is relentless and the camps are basic but definitely more than adequate. The food isnt great it would be logistically impossible for it to be better.

But that is exactly what makes this trip so wonderful and real. Living in the Namib desert is no walk in the park and, frankly if the Himba tribes people can survive years of drought then you can manage four days of hard travelling. I guarantee that when you come into land at the first camp sight you will be completely dumbstruck, and youve yet to experience land-rover tobogganing, the welwitschia plant, Bushmen artwork, roaring sand-dunes (the most astonishing thing I have ever heard), desert elephants, bread baked in a coffee percolator, ship-wrecks, the quartz kaleidoscope, seal colonies.

But above all of this and more, you will experience pure, total and completely untouched wilderness.

A rare and incredibly beautiful thing.

http://www.aardvarksafaris.com/articles-namibia-otto.htm

John Spence originally cut his teeth as a cocktail barman in Cape Town and white water raft guide in Zimbabwe. This unorthodox first travel to Africa buried a strong seed of love for that continent which has grown and grown. Endless weird and wonderful trips to Africa on horse back, by canoe, on foot, light aeroplane and behind the wheel of his own Land Rover have yet to fully satisfy his thirst for knowledge of Africa. Johns two children are also set to become safari experts and are beginning to accompany him on some of his less adventurous trips so hes a good person to talk to about family holidays as well. An itinerary to Africa designed by John will be based on a huge bank of knowledge and a big injection of enthusiasm and adventure.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=JohnW.Spence
http://EzineArticles.com/?Namibia&id=366211

Cheap Airline Tickets and Low Cost Airline Tickets

Cheap Airline Tickets and Low Cost Airline Tickets
By Jason Montag

People love to travel around the world and would do it a lot more often if it was affordable. Actually the hotels are no the bad part of a trip across the ocean, the major expense is the airline tickets. Most people spend more time finding cheap airline tickets than they do choosing all of the rest of the details of their vacation. The airline industry has always inflated their prices for some reason or other but the bottom line is that it is possible to get cheaper tickets than the website would advertise or the travel agent will tell you about. The airlines are able to offer deals to you but you have to go through the right steps to find them. The internet is the best place to find cheap airline tickets and low cost airline tickets. Actually the absolute best place to go is to the places that will show you the cost of cheap last minute airline tickets. How can they do this? Well the concept is simple. The flight that the airline is taking will cost them a certain amount of money whether it is full or empty so the more passengers they have the more they can offset the cost. If the flight is approaching and there are a lot of empty seats the airline will offer cheap airline ticket deals to last minute customers in an attempt to recover some of their possible loss. If they sell a discount or low cost airline ticket it is better than no sale at all.

The key is to keep your eyes open and continue searching until you find what you are looking for on the last minute deal sites. One word of advice is that you should book your flight with the airline directly once you know what the last minute deals are and get them to give the price to you instead of going through one of these possibly fly by night websites. Use the website for the information they can provide you and nothing more as the airline can usually be trusted more than some other internet sites.

In my opinion, paying advertised cost for an airline ticket is as bad as paying sticker price for a car, you should not do it. If you look you will find the cheap and low cost, and sometimes last minute airline tickets deals. Best of luck in your searches.

For more information about cheap airline tickets or get cheap last minute airline tickets, some recommended airlines are Southwestairlines, and Quantas Airlines

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=JasonMontag
http://EzineArticles.com/?Cheap-Airline-Tickets-and-Low-Cost-Airline-Tickets&id=184041

Passport Regulations and Services Are You Fully Prepared

Passport Regulations and Services - Are You Fully Prepared
By Jawahn Thompson

Many things are changing when it comes to air travel. Some of the changes come from the government. We all know about the carry on luggage rules that have changed frequently over the past few months. The next big scheduled change will be a change in the passport requirements to re-enter the United States.

At the moment, if you are traveling to Mexico, Canada, Bermuda, Panama or the Caribbean, a passport is not necessary. But that will be changing soon. Due to The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004, on January 8, 2007, all travelers coming from or returning from these destinations will need a passport to enter the United States.

This January 8, 2007 date is for travelers entering the United States by air or by sea. For travelers entering the United States across a land border, they will be required to start providing passports as identification on January 1, 2008. All of the new regulations are required for adults and children alike.

Currently, the regulation states that any traveler wishing to enter or re-enter the United States from these destinations needs to have a valid driver's license and a birth certificate. Those documents will not be enough once January hits. They will still be accepted if you are returning from a U.S. territory such as Guam, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. Since they are U.S. territories, it is not considered leaving the United States when you visit there.

If you are planning to travel outside of the United States or its territories after the New Year and don't have a passport, now is the time to be applying for one. The average time for processing a passport is six weeks. The busy time for passport applications tends to be between January and July. You are likely to get your passport more quickly if you give in your application between August and December. So now is the time to do make your application. If you need your passport more quickly, there is an expedited service for an extra fee.

You may be wondering about the fees associated with a passport in general. Actually, they aren't so bad when you think about it. A passport is good for ten years, so when you divide the cost of the passport by the number of years it is valid, you're getting a pretty good bang for your buck. Much better than say the $50 or so you probably have to pay every year to register a car in most states - even if none of your personal information changes. So when you're thinking about the passport fees, try to put them in perspective. You get ten years of world wide travel as an American Citizen. It's not so bad when you think of it that way.

So, what are the fees exactly? For children under sixteen, a passport will cost $82. For those sixteen and older, a passport will cost $97. To get a passport renewed, the fees are $67. So for an adult with his first passport, the cost ends up being $9.70 a year. Pretty cost effective, huh? Of course, those fees don't include the price paid for getting your passport photo or for the added fees if you want your application expedited.

If you have never applied for a passport before, there are some things you will want to know before applying.

You must apply in person. There are over 7,000 facilities in the United States that can issue passports. To find the one that is near you, you can go to www.iafdb.travel.state.gov and type in your zip code. The website will direct you to the facilities that are nearest to you.

You will need proof that you are a United States citizen or proof of your nationality. For U.S. citizens born in the U.S. you will need a certified copy of your birth certificate issued by a government office (not a hospital). For U.S. citizens born outside the U.S., you will need a Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship. An expired U.S. passport can also be used as proof.

Have your passport photos taken before applying. The type of photographs you need are very specific, but that is to ensure that no one else can use your passport. You must have two identical photographs that have been taken within the last six months. The size of the photographs must be 2x2 inches. Your picture within the photo must be between 1 and 1 3/8 inches. The photo must be on a white background. You must be facing forward, showing your full face and not wearing a hat or dark glasses.

You will need a photo ID with your signature. This can be an expired U.S. passport, a Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship, a valid government ID card, a valid military ID card, or a valid driver's license.

Once you have all of your documents and photos in order, you can fill out an application for a passport known as a DS-11. Do not sign the application unless you are in the presence of the person who will be executing your passport. If you do sign it without the executor, your application will become invalid.

You can download an application and have it filled out before you visit the facility that will issue your passport. To download the application, go to www.travel.state.gov/passport/forms/forms847.html.

If you already have a passport, but it has expired you can renew your passport by mail if you meet the following requirements.

Your passport must not be damaged.

It must have been received within the past 15 years.

You must have been at least 16 years old when it was issued.

You still have the same name as the one in the passport (or a legal document proving your name change).

If you do not meet the above requirements, you must apply in person for a new passport.

This important message on passport services was brought to you by daily travel air.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=JawahnThompson
http://EzineArticles.com/?Passport-Regulations-and-Services---Are-You-Fully-Prepared&id=328904

Amusement Parks and Theme Parks In Germany Part 3 of 3

Amusement Parks and Theme Parks In Germany -- Part 3 of 3
By Marcus Hochstadt

In the past two parts of this report I told you about 7 TOP German Amusement Parks and Theme Parks, whose ensure you gain an unforgettable day (and a lot more).

So, with that having said, you also have to consider how much time you will have when you are in such Theme Parks. Imagine this, you would like to enjoy one more attraction, but you would have to queue up for approx. 120 minutes? Yeah, not unusual in those TOP German Amusement Parks!

Nevertheless, the fact that you have my advice and guidance, you will be able to prevent yourself from such annoying situations.

Question, would you like to save approx. 50% of your valuable time while being in such TOP German Amusement Parks and Theme Parks? Yes? Okay, then read on... ;-)

Step 1
The main visiting day is Sunday, followed by Saturday. If it is possible for you thus, visit the parks under the week, between Monday and Friday. You will otherwise be annoyed to have yourself queue up 1 or 2 hours long for only one ride. That can be pesky.

Step 2
Take your time for each park. I recommend taking one complete day, at huge parks perhaps even two days. You are annoyed otherwise to have missed important attractions. Even though our Amusement Parks aren't as big as Disney World in Paris or in Orlando, you should not put yourself in a rush.

Step 3
Journey on very early. Be there before they open their gates. Early in the morning the park is empty, and you gain a more pleasant and faster overview. And if you travel by car, it's common you find a parking lot quite close to the entrance. That saves some time as well.

Step 4
Inform yourself in advance, on my Website or on the Website of the park. Which attractions do you want to visit in any case? Note it, like a Park Route Guide. Process this plan first. If you then still have time, you still can go onto other attractions (or just repeat the most exciting ones!).

Step 5
Start at the end of the Theme Park. That way you avoid long waiting periods at individual attractions. Most visitors start their journey at the official starting point.

BONUS-Step
Plan your midday meal, therefore the attendance in the restaurant, very early or very late. Most visitors eat in the time between noon and 1 p.m. Go eating at 11 a.m. or at 2.30 p.m., thus you save up to 60 minutes of your valuable time.

WOW! Amazing, isnt it? Just follow the above steps and youre done! Better, print this page out and refer back to it in advance to your thrilling journeys. But the uninitiated may not realize that there are many types of rental property provider out there, and they dont all offer equal levels of value and service.

The first type is the general vacation rental website. There are many of these available, and they are perhaps most suitable when you havent decided where you want to go. You can browse these sites for ideas on where to go and the larger sites may well have a reasonable choice of homes in certain destinations, particularly the most popular ones. These homes may be advertised by the individual owner, or by companies who manage multiple rental properties.

However, these sites have their limitations. You will rarely find any information about each destination, since these sites typically cover the globe, albeit with varying levels of inventory available in any one resort or location. Also, the site is really nothing but an advertising venue; it takes no responsibility for the accuracy of any of the information posted by the owners who use it, and you will have no comeback to the operator of the website if it turns out that the property is misrepresented, is not available when you turn up even though you have paid or, in the worst but by no means unknown case, does not even exist.

The second type of site is often advertised as by owner. These sites may be global, or they may be destination-specific. Such sites frequently claim that by dealing directly with owners they are cutting out the middleman and saving you money, and in certain areas owners who market their properties directly can escape some types of tax. However, these sites also have drawbacks. As with global vacation rental sites, by owner sites provide no guarantees about your holiday; they are just a way of putting you in touch with the owner. Furthermore, the owner is not worried about the credibility and reputation of the site as a whole; their main concern is to promote their own property. Finally, if the property becomes unavailable for any reason, the owner may be restricted in their ability to provide an alternative. So be cautious with these sites.

The third type of site belongs to a property manager with an inventory of homes in a individual destination. He does not usually own the homes but rents them out on behalf of the owners. He does not mind which home you choose, so his incentive is only to find the property most suitable for your group. If, exceptionally, your property becomes unavailable for your dates, he will be able to find you an alternative from other properties he manages. Finally he will have consistent quality systems in place to ensure that your place is in perfect condition for your stay. So if you want to be sure of the quality of your vacation rental, choose a property management company which specializes in the resort of your choice.

Henry Schlee is the owner of a property management company in Whistler, BC. Consider this; standing outside with your groom or bride, next to a babbling brook, with your friends and family seated in rows behind you. Youve got a gorgeous decorated arbor for the minister to stand under, and the timing is perfect, as the setting sun is casting a bright, orange hue across the water and creating a feeling of warmth to all of your guests. But what is that overhead? Thats right, its a big, dark gray storm cloud, and its moving in threatening to ruin your outdoor wedding!

The weather is never completely predictable, and having an outdoor event means you are taking a chance on the weather. Unless, of course- you plan ahead and arrange for tents, gazebos or marquees to be set up- which is your best bet for an enjoyable outdoor event, regardless of the weather! Rain and wind are no match for the gorgeous tents you can set up to protect yourself and your guests from the elements and unpredictability of the weather. You can find suitable tents for any occasion, for the fanciest of weddings, you can rent or purchase all white canvas tents, with beautiful arched windows in each of the canvas walls, and high peaked ceilings, which you can use for decorating with twinkling lights, flowers, or other items of your choosing. Marquees and frame tents of this caliber are also used for outdoor corporate events and picnics often.

Youve seen the tents used for weddings, garden parties and also by vendors at street markets and fairs. Vendors often used them to designate their space, for their outdoor store, and give their customers a place to come in out of the hot sun, wind, or rainy weather- hoping to encourage their guests to stay and shop some more! It also protects the items that theyre selling from adverse weather conditions, as well.

Tents really do have a variety of uses. At first thought, the word tent probably brings to mind the smaller sized tents that are mainly used for camping. Typically, they can be set up by just one or two people, and are just large enough for a few people to get into and sleep fairly comfortably. There are, however, tents for camping that are much larger- designed for groups and large families to use for extended vacations. Some camping tents are actually part of a trailer, so they are set up to allow for easy traveling, you just hook your trailer to your vehicle and take off!

Youll find a variety of uses for tents, as well as tents that are available in very small sizes and shapes all the way to sizes that are best compared to houses! In fact, many of the larger tents resemble homes, in that they have separate rooms and doorways, and storage areas designated. Tents really extend the amount of living space you have at home, since they allow you to enjoy the great outdoors even when the weather isnt conducive to spending time outside.

For more information please visit www.uk-tents.co.uk

Phil Edwards is a writer and publisher living in london. In this article, we review seven of the best beaches in this area of the island.

Our first of three man-made (and thus family-friendly) beaches in the Peurto del Carmen area is known as the Playa Grande. This is the most central beach and has a magnificent promenade of bars and restaurants running along its kilometre of golden sand (100m wide). The placid waters is this part of the island make it ideal for windsurfing. If you dont want to use the bars and restaurants, it wont be long before a beach seller offers you drinks, ices or fresh fruit. One of the most popular beaches on the island, it has lifeguards, showers, changing areas, washrooms, rentals for beds/parasols, boats and water sports equipment. You can get to it by guaguas (autobus) but youve been warned parking is very limited in this lively part of the island.

Our second beach is known as Barrilla (also in the Puerto Del Carmen area), measuring 90m long and 22m wide. It consists of fine golden sand and offers good parking, a scuba diving centre, has a lifeguard present, has first aid on site and is accessible by guaguas (autobus)..

Our third beach is a small cove known as Fariones (also in the Puerto Del Carmen area besides a hotel of the same name), measuring 60 m by 5m and consisting of fine toasted sand and calm waters. It is accessible by guaguas (autobus).

Our fourth beach at Playa de Los Pocillos, is located at the more exclusive end of Puerto Del Carmen. The beach has fine golden sand and forms part of the development known by same name. It is more than a kilometre long (1,23 m) and 150 m. wide. High tide leaves pools of sea water on its flat surface. It is quieter than the main beaches, but there is a still a good choice of quality bars and restaurants on hand. When the wind picks up this beach is popular with windsurfers.Windy on occasions, but with calm waters, it is very popular and offers good wind surfing conditions, it has rentals beds/parasols, good parking facilities, signage, boardwalk, a commercial zone, showers, litter bins, has good access for wheelchairs and has first aid and washrooms on hand. You can get to it by guaguas (autobus).

Our fifth beach at Playa de Matagorda, part of the development by the same name has a windy beach measuring 850m and 40m wide, consisting of fine golden sand and calm waters, which make it a popular resort for windsurfing, particularly those of limited capability or beginners. Due to its proximity to the airport and the occasionsl noise from aircraft taking off and landing, it is not as crowded as the other beaches in this area, but it is nevertheless worth a visit. This beach has rentals for beds/parasols and a variety of water sports on hand. You can get to it by guaguas (autobus).

Our sixth beach is at Lima and measures 900m long and 50m wide, consisting of fine toasted sand (mix of fine golden sand and small picon, the small lava stones), this is a windy beach with calm waters, again ideal for first time windsurfers. This is located alongside the Matagorda development and can be reached by guaguas (autobus).

Finally, our seventh beach is a small cove at Pea Grande and measures 40m long by 5m wide, consisting of fine white sand (and the odd pebble). Despite its small size, it is nevertheless a windy beach with calm waters and offers full services including lifeguards, showers, first aid, bars/restaurants, showers, parking and telephones. It also has a small promenade and can be reached by guaguas (autobus).

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=JohnPlumb
http://EzineArticles.com/?12-Lanzarote-Beaches----Tias&id=222573

12 Critical Tips to Saving on Airport Parking

12 Critical Tips to Saving on Airport Parking
By Paul W Wilson

Off-site airport parking is a boon for travelers. Often they prove to be cheaper than parking lots run by airports and online discounts and other conveniences make the option even more attractive.

Satellite parking lots face competition and so it is easy for those in the know to save big.

Here are a few insights:

1.Keep a tab on offers. As the race for success becomes intense, all sites run attractive offers giving away coupons or web only deals. Many offer an e-coupon that entitles the user to a days free parking at selected parking lots. This means a saving of US$ 18. Other offers give away a day if you park for two days or 50% off on the first days parking fee.

2.If you are a frequent user of parking lots check for offers where a parking operator with a major presence near airports you use offers a 50% discount if you purchase a certain number of parking vouchers online or on the phone using your credit card.

3.Many parking sites have a different rate for different parking positions. Check on the kinds of parking and rate differences. You could save up to $ 55 for a seven day parking.

4.Ask for rates depending on the length of stay. Rates vary so if you are going to need parking for a week then you could get a higher discount than the daily rate on offer.

5.Many run a frequent user program where repeat customers are offered many facilities. This is similar to frequent flier programs.

6.Find out if the lots you use offer special discounts to members of AARP, AAA, or other such organizations. In fact, AA members save between 10-20% on parking. Some sites even offer the service of picking up and dropping your car from the airport terminal.

7.Do your research well compare providers, the rates on offer, as well as facilities at the place you need to park. If you are clever you can get more for less.

8.Before you travel use the internet to check on daily and weekly parking offers. There are free days, discounted weekly rates, and guaranteed rates on offer at various times. You can avail the offer by making a booking online or printing out the page with a code and presenting it to the cashier at the parking lot.9.Keep track of promotions especially during holiday seasons. Many lots accept coupons and give away discounts offered by consumer products

10.Often pre-booking parking can get you a saving of even 60% and more.

11.Hotels often offer parking specials, so make use of the extra facility being offered by the hotel you plan to stay in.

12.Some travel agents who book flight tickets offer advice or coupons for parking at the point of exit and entry. Ask you agent when you book your flight.

Off site parking is not just fast and convenient it can be a saving too.

Paul Wilson is a freelance writer for http://www.1888discuss.com/airport-parking, the premier REVENUE SHARING discussion forum for Airport Parking including topics on secured parking, gate parking, discounted parking, traveling, and more.
